AACD Pilots New Team Certificate Program at AACD 2018

The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry recognizes our most successful members have a strong team behind them, which is why the AACD is piloting a new Team Certificate program. The Team Certificate program will educate dental team members on essential skills for assisting with cosmetic dentistry patients. These essentials include: communication skills, contemporary concepts in cosmetic dentistry, leadership and business skills, and esthetic dental photography.

Required Courses: Level I

• Leadership and Business Skills (Level I)

• Contemporary Concepts in Cosmetic Dentistry (Level I)

• Communication Skills (Level I)

• Introduction to Esthetic Dental Photography (Level I)

Required Courses: Level II

• Leadership and Business Skills (Level II)

• Contemporary Concepts in Cosmetic Dentistry (Level II)

• Communication Skills (Level II)

• One Elective Course (Level II)

The initial phase of the Team Certificate pilot program will launch at AACD 2018 in Chicago, where all Level I courses will be offered. Attendees who enroll in the Level I courses will be asked to provide their feedback for further development of the program. Upon completion of both Level I and Level II courses, team members will be awarded a Team Certificate recognizing their advanced training in assisting with cosmetic dentistry patients.

Requirements for participating in the Team Certificate:

• Membership in AACD

• Annual Scientific Session registration
